Eternal Shore, Paint on Silk
This series of paintings captures the aftermath of fireworks in the sky, the smoke lingering above, the reflection on the water below, and the enduring presence of rocks. These works aim to express the fleeting brilliance and glory of the fireworks—a spectacular display quickly disappearing into the night, swept away by the wind. In contrast, the rocks, unchanged over tens of thousands of years, stand as silent witnesses to the ever-shifting world. This fleeting brilliance is a reminder that the brighter something shines, the faster it fades away, prompting reflection on time, life, and eternity.
The rocks depicted are inspired by those near my childhood home in Qingdao, China. I spent countless hours there as a child, catching fish, crabs, and tiny shrimp. In winter, I would use the rocks to chip away oysters, their taste mingling with the scent of seaweed, all in the cold, strong winds. I often envisioned my future while sitting on those rocks, dreaming of endless possibilities. Even now, in my dreams, I find myself returning to that place, where stories unfold around the rocks. Though many years have passed, each time I return, the rocks remain unchanged, waiting for me. They make me feel like a small grain of sand, drifting between the sky and the ocean.

Threshold, Paint on Rice Paper
Threshold is a series of paintings on rice paper, a recurring motif, symbolizes the eternal embrace of Mother Nature—a womb-like space that protects, purifies, and heals. Within this sacred form lies the promise of inner peace. My hope is that viewers will lose themselves within this space, breaking free from the confines of the self to enter a realm of selflessness—immersed in the boundless flow of heaven and earth.

The Calm Before the StormPainting, Mixed Media
The Calm before the Storm” is a series of digital prints and videos depicting the moments in my dreams before disasters happen; that split-second of peace, romance, beauty and desire, which will be replaced by endless chaos, violence, war and natural disaster.

WARM HEAVY LIFT
Painting, Mixed Media
In a liminal state between consciousness and unconsciousness, I experienced an overwhelming sense of love and presence that felt as if it descended from above. I felt as though I was briefly touched by a warm hand, a moment of quiet rebirth. Old memories—heavy, dark, and long carried—began to loosen, as if vibrating out of my body through the surrounding air.
This series traces that emotional passage: a process of release, transformation, and gradual return toward light.
